GPUSED’S TAKE

The verdict

The 2GB HD 4850 was a real single-GPU partner card, not the similarly named HD 4850 X2. It carried the approachable RV770 design with slower GDDR3 and unusually generous capacity for 2008. More memory helped its identity; the chip still determined the gaming tier.

Japan; PowerColor AX4850 2GBD3-PPH on sale by 22 November

PowerColor's 2GB GDDR3 single-GPU HD 4850 is recorded by a contemporary shop survey; it is not an HD 4850 X2. GPUsed's board SKU is unknown.

A board-specific test SKU is not supplied with this profile. It identifies the recorded GPU variant; a particular card’s dimensions, cooler and power connections need their own check.
