GPUSED’S TAKE

The verdict

The single-GPU HD 4870 2GB paired AMD's lively RV770 chip with a larger GDDR5 memory pool. Sapphire's Vapor-X board reached shops in March 2009. That distinction matters: an HD 4870 X2 also says 2GB, but it uses two GPUs and is a different card.

The shop report explicitly distinguishes Sapphire's single-GPU 2GB HD 4870 from the dual-GPU HD 4870 X2. GPUsed's board SKU is unknown.

A board-specific test SKU is not supplied with this profile. It identifies the recorded GPU variant; a particular card’s dimensions, cooler and power connections need their own check.
