GPUSED’S TAKE

The verdict

The HD 7950 Boost kept Tahiti's 3GB memory and wide bus, then lifted clocks with a new PowerTune BIOS in 2012. It sharpened an already strong value card, but a standard HD 7950 flashed with similar firmware should not be confused with proof of which board GPUsed tested.

US; exact 3GB PowerTune Boost card independently tested on 13 August

MSI records a Boost Edition 3GB board; contemporary hands-on reviews establish the Boost BIOS/card in August 2012. GPUsed's board SKU is unknown and a flashed older card is not assumed.

A board-specific test SKU is not supplied with this profile. It identifies the recorded GPU variant; a particular card’s dimensions, cooler and power connections need their own check.
